Ryan Parker has been growing vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers sustainably for several years. Ryan has
lived in Maine his entire life though he has travelled throughout North America and to Europe. He graduated from the
University of Maine with a Bachelor of Music Performance, concentration in Percussion and a Minor in Business Administration.
After college he went to work for a member of the United States House of Representatives. In 2006, after several years
of research and observation about the nature of our food supply, the way we are treating the earth and each other, wanting
to make a difference, Ryan launched Parker Produce. The idea behind Parker Produce is to provide local, healthy
food to residents of the Central Maine Region. Ryan currently lives in Winterport with his wife Emily, their daughter
and the family dog, Brinkley.
Emily Parker grew
up on a dairy farm in Newport Maine (now home to the Parker Produce gardens and the Burgess Tree Farm). She has
Masters in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). As co-owner, business manager and accountant
for Parker Produce, Emily shares Ryan's desire to make the world a better place for those around us.
